Start With Why Applies To Investing As Well

There is a famous book by Simon Sinek with the title „Start With Why“. In case you don’t know it, it’s about a concept that highly successful companies focus on why they do business in the first place before going into how to do it and what to sell.

Although the message is mainly business oriented there are still lessons we can apply to other areas as well. In our case investing.

Every successful investor (myself included) has probably gone through quite some failure before they were able to create a stable stream of income. Even though we know that failure is part of success, when it come to investing failure is directly connected to the loss of money. And that’s often causing people to give up on their dreams because they just can’t go through those (sometimes tough) lessons and keep going.

That’s why it is so important to have a strong why, the underlying reason WHY you want to become a successful investor in the first place. For example in my case the main driving force behind it is that I want to show up as an example, especially for my children. I want them to grow up and learn how to be investors naturally and maybe they won’t have to go through the struggle I have.
