So you set yourself the goal of getting that job promotion in 2020 and now it’s time to make an appointment with your boss to talk to him about your plans. Ie’ve already covered some tips and shared them with you in my previous posts, so you might want to go back and re-read those.
Ok, then let’s dive into today’s 3 tips on how to convince your boss of your qualities:
1️⃣ Talk about an ACTUAL PROBLEM, something that you’ve spotted within your company that’s currently not going well. For example there might be a department that’s underperforming due to lack of the right leadership.
2️⃣ Have an ACTION PLAN prepared to show your boss how exactly you intend to solve the issue and explain to him your specific ideas. Your boss needs to see that you really sat down and thought things through from A to Z.
3️⃣ Be patient. Now it’s your boss’s turn to decide whether you should get that promotion or not. It’s also possible that you may have to repeat steps 1 and 2 several times to prove that you are committed.
